Maybe You will need to update the HWiNFO IDs included in "Documents|Rainmeter|Skins|Opacity|SETTINGS|" to match the IDs for your system. To do this:
1 - ensure HWiNFO is running, with sensors and shared memory active
2 - run the included "Documents|Rainmeter|Skins|Opacity|@Resources"HWiNFOSharedMemoryViewer.exe" file - you can also launch this by clicking the Mainboard skin
3 - find the sensor reading you need (CPU Usage for example) and get the ID at the bottom right
4 - edit "" to replace the provided ID with the ID for your system
5 - refresh the skin

For additional information, please see the following thread:

Still working on Windows XP and your latest version here does not load with the older operating system.  Do any of your older versions of Opacity work with XP?  (If so, leave a post here with a link or download).

Thanks for the INFO.  But why would ANYONE send someone to a 'Download Manager' site (sendspace, 4share, et al) that requires you to install all their crap just to download a file?  Again, appreciate the effort but if it requires installing a Download Manager...NO   F##KING   THANK YOU!!!!!!
apophisss Featured By Owner Apr 5, 2014
i alrdy know you didnt even try to download the file

because there is no download manager or anything

just 1 click and you get the file

Not trying to be difficult but...
I clicked on the 'sendspace' link it took me to

(I may have clicked the wrong Download button at sendspace, which is why I might have got taken to 4shared -download manager web site)

Would you please  reply with the link just once more...(your first reply got deleted on me)?
apophisss Featured By Owner Apr 5, 2014

click on the text "Click here to start download from sendspace"

or try this direct link…

'SendSpace' worked just you said (1st time I've ever used it...(technically the 2nd)).  My bad!

But  file '_1' was the one I couldn't load when I first contacted you and...

'_2' doesn't load either
'Your version of Windows is not supported by this package.
Contact the package author for more info.'
If you recall, I'm working with WinXP (that's more my problem then it is yours!)

I know you've spent more time than this may be worth, but I have one more favor, if you'd be so kind (and if you think it would work).  Could you send me -via SendSpace- Opacity 'unpackaged' - not as a rmskin but as a installed folder? Unless Opacity is specifically Win7 or higher, maybe I can but the folder in Rainmeter and use it from there.

Thanks for your time!

just rename .rmskin to .rar

and extract or rightclick the file and choose open with winrar or whatever program you use to extract files

the folder u want is in the skins folder

good luck

Is there a way to get it to show fahrenheit instead of celsius? I would also like to know if I could change the font manually to match another skin.
drq993736b Featured By Owner Aug 22, 2013
Here's the formula for converting Celsius to Fahrenheit:

C  x  9/5 + 32 = F

i don't know how to convert temps to fahrenheit

to change font do this

put your new font in Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Opacity\@Resources

open Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Opacity\SETTINGS\

and change all example "FontFace=Segoe Script" to your font

refresh rainmeter

if the font doesn't show ,you also need to change StringStyle= to Italic ,Normal or bold

refresh rainmeter

thats it gl

I don't know if you see comments that are directed to other deviants, so here's the answer to ~cryosquid's question on Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion: The formula is

C  x  9/5 + 32 = F

Maybe you could integrate that into the next version. :-)

Converting from Fahrenheit to Celsius, should you need to do so, would be:

(F  -  32)  x  5/9 = C

By the way, I like your skin.
apophisss Featured By Owner Aug 23, 2013
glad you like it. thank you

i don't know how to apply such formula to all Celsius readings
apophisss Featured By Owner Jun 9, 2013
forgot to add

double click the new font so you know the correct name to change

example RAZER.ttf = Razer regular
Udder-Juice Featured By Owner Oct 20, 2012
Love the skin but how do you change the color schemes as shown in the preview? Thanks.
apophisss Featured By Owner Oct 22, 2012
Hi and thank you

themes are located here "Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Opacity\IMAGES\"

just extract any rar file and overwrite image files and refresh rainmeter

right click rainmeter icon in taskbar and choose refresh all
